Once again Friends of Chitambo (FoCH) has our Zambian-based Trustee, Karen Edwards, to thank for an amazing, last minute fundraising opportunity!
She hosted renowned Scottish travel writer/ photographer, Alastair Scott, who is cycling from Scotland to Capetown! http://www.alastair-scott.com/
Alastair just cycled all the way down the Great North Road (GNR) from Tanzania....past Chitambo... and was kindly hosted by Karen and Peter in Lusaka.
Karen fixed for him to give a fundraising talk, which went really well. Despite the last minute timing, 14 people attended.
Alastair was interviewed by a journalist beforehand, contributing, also, to excellent publicity.
