Chitambo ambulance maintenance
11th Jul 2021
So glad our contribution to ambulance maintenance is proving useful at Chitambo Hospital, Central Province, Zambia. Thanks to all who have helped.
Hats off to Mr Sydney Elekani, Hospital Executive Officer, and Mr Boniface Kapilia, Head Driver, for arranging and conducting the servicing work.
Mr Kapilia is a highly skilled and experienced mechanic and has kept the Centenary Ambulance, gifted by Penicuik, Scotland (2008), going for 13 years, despite the rugged terrain. Twatotela saana mukwai Team Chitambo. Mwabombeni bonse and Lesa Amupale.....thank you, well done and God bless!
Functioning ambulances were never more neeeded as now, during the third wave of the pandemic, currently ravaging Chitambo.
Watch out for our Crowdfunding Appeal for an oxygen pipeline to take oxygen from a generating plant to the patient's beside (costing £12,000, of which we must raise half). Coming soon!
