I hope you have had a good year despite our troubled world.
Thanks to your support, Chitambo is a very good news story. FoCH and the Chitambo healthcare team continue to work closely toogether to get valuable things,like the new Mothers Waiting Shelter, done.
Please see our short newsletter, produced by our Trustee, Dr Bridget Innes, for details: FoCH Christmas Newsletter 2024 Our new focus is on renovating the maternity wing and equipping it with much needed emergency equipment: incubator, rescussitaire, and new delivery beds. A large donation from the Groningen City Council, in the Netherlands, is enabling us to start on this. This donation was facilitated by our Trustee, Dr Annet Dekker, who worked at Chitambo in the late 1980s.
The project perfectly compliments and extends the work of the MWS project. Watch this space for more developments!
