On behalf of all at Friends of Chitambo and the Chitambo community itself, THANK YOU for all your help and support this year, especially with fundraising for the oxygen pipeline to link with the oxygen generator being donated by Scottish Government.
Honorable Chanda Mutale, Chitambo area MP, has kindly pledged Community Development Funds (CDF) for laying of a reinforced concrete slab and dust-free shelter to house the generator. Once this is done, the Zambian company, Mulilo Gases Ltd, will install the generator and pipeline, as they did at St Francis Hospital, Katete, Eastern Province. We hope that this will be very soon as a 4th wave of covid is anticipated this month, and cases of the Omicron variant have now been identified in Zambia.
We will keep you informed of progress.
