Friends of Chitambo stall flourishing

Our Friends of Chitambo charity stall at the Storehouse, Penicuick, Scotland, is thriving! Thanks to FoCH member, Ba Agnes Ngulube-Holmes, for supplying the vibrant Zambian crafts,and to Elspeth Currie and Heather Nicholas for their beautiful crafts (pottery and patchwork needlework). These are all going down well with the Storehouse clientelle. Thanks to them, and the Storehouse management, for supporting us. We really appreciate it and it's making a big difference.
Stall proceeds are going towards health projects in Chitambo District, Central Province, Zambia, particularly to tackling the current 3rd wave of the coronavirus pandemic. The Chitambo community is struggling to cope with this and even Senior Chief Chitambo, decendant of the Chief who hosted Scottish missionary/explorer, David Livingstone, has died of COVID.
FoCH is frantically fundraising for an oxygen pipeline for Chitambo Hospital, to take oxygen from a donated oxygen generating plant to the patients bedsides. This pipeline costs around £12,000, of which FoCH has pledged to pay half by September 2021. Please watch out for our soon to be launched Crowdfunding appeal. Coming soon.
