Knowledge into action on the frontline

6 years of Scottish Government Small Grant funding for emergency care projects in Chitambo District, Central Province, Zambia, came to an end on 31st March 2021, with the closure of the Small Grants programme. Thank you to the donors for the opportunities which the programme has provided, including establishing an emergency care resource centre at the hospital, equipped with print and digital resources, linked to the 16 Rural Health Clinics by radio and cellphone networks.
Staff can browse the books and tablet PCs for best evidence to inform their daily practice. Thank you to Mr Norman Mukuma, Nursing Officer, and Mr Francis Zombe, Registered Theatre Nurse, for the great photos of the new shelving unit and growing resource collection.
