Pure dedication

FoCH is awestruck by our Zambian-based Trustee, Mr Levison (Levi) Chifwaila's dedication in travelling a 6-hour round trip one day, by 4 different forms of transport (vehicle, foot, banana boat, donkey cart) to motivate and supervise staff at a remote clinic on Chirwa Island, Ngabwe District, Central Privince, Zambia: http://www.cen.gov.zm/?page_id=4864 This area is characterised by remote villages in forests and swamps. Roads are all but impassable during the rainy season, when Levi was travelling.
This is all in a days work for Levi who is a Senior Nurse Lecturer at Kabwe College of Nursing. He was tasked by the Zambian Ministry of Health (MOH) with this mission which focused particularly on motivating isolated staff in quality improvement of child healthcare through Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMNCI). This is Levi's particular passion and subject matter of his forthcoming PhD. We are truly humbled to have the benefit of such experience and expertise on our Board.
