We are so thrilled at the progress towards building the Mothers Waiting Shelter at Chitambo.
Thanks to MKP Contractors for their great work and to all our many supporters.
The roof is on. The electricity and plumbing is done and the plastering is well underway.
We're now turning our thoughts to furnishing and equipping the shelter.
We have a quote for metal bunk beds from the nearby Mpepetwe military base which makes great furnitute. We still need to cost mattesses.
But we already have a large consignment of bedding, donated by the Lusaka Indian Ladies Association (LILA), via a Zambin based member. This includes pillows, blankets, and bedsheets. We are so grateful to them all for this generous contribution.
Thanks again to all who have helped. You are making a real difference where it is needed most.
