Golden opportunity

Thanks to Zambian-based Trustee, Ida Waddell, for representing FoCH at the Scottish Government Roundtable meeting with @JennyGilruth MSP, Thursday 18th November. Great opportunity while 2 FoCh Trustees, Ida and Karen Edwards, are in Scotland.

Ida thanked Scottish Government for the donation of an Oxygen Generator to Chitambo Hospita, Central Province, Zambia and explained that this will allow for sustainable oxygen supplies.

She updated Scottish Government on the realities of the coronavirus pandemic on the ground in rural Zambia, including the lack of ordinary drugs due to most aid money going to covid and the effects of UK Government vaccination policy on vaccine hesitancy in Zambia.

We were confident that our voice was heard both by the Minister and by Francis Guy, the new CEO of Scotland's International Development Alliance.
