What a friend we have in English Paediatric Physiotherapist Sarah-Jane Lenaerts!
Here is what she is planning in support of the Chitambo Mothers Waiting Shelter!:
"Inspired by a recent trip to beautiful Zambia, I decided to devise a fundraising activity for Chitambo Hospital. I am planning a 100 mile walk from Westminster Abbey (the final resting place of Dr David Livingstone) to Wiltshire. The distance representing how far women are currently expected to travel whilst in labour to Chitambo. Supported by friends and family I hope to complete the walk in six days and will set off on Sunday 17th September."
Sarah is related to our Lusaka-based Trustee, Karen Edwards, whom she was visiting in Zambia.
