Day 3 #THETConf focusses on inclusiveness in health care. Great keynote speeches were from Dr Juliet Nabyonga, Health Economist, WHO and Mwawi Ngoma, Mental Health Nurse/Midwife, Malawi. Mwawi is undertaking a PhD on aspects of perinatal depression and has authored this great paper: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6581242/
There followed a very stimulating breakout session on analysis of power dynamics in health partnerships and one of the main take home messages from this conference is the urgency of better balancing the dynamics of power within partnerships. It is very heartening to see the extent to which THET is endorsing this direction.
