22 Zambian athletes are in Scotland for the Commonwealth Games 2026.
The games were opened today by Scotland's First Minister, the Right Honorable John Swinney, at a Partner Country Reception in the city of Glasgow. Also, in attendance were Scotland's new Minister for International Development, Simita Kumar, and dignitaries representing the 3 partner countries, Malawi, Zambia, and Rwanda.
Pupils from George Watsons school, Edinburgh, provided a stunning performance with their pipe band.
Members of Friends of Chitambo attended the reception and, afterwards, engaged in rich networking with contacts old and new.
