We can thoroughly recommend this new Zambian girlhood memoir by Mrs Grace Chama Pupe (pseudonym Chengo Mulala): https://www.amazon.co.uk/Katobole-Village-Folklore-Livingstones-Journey/dp/1838441816/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=chengo+mulala&qid=1622191892&sr=8-1

Ba Grace was born and grew up in Luapula Province, Zambia, and is now a retired social worker living in southern England. Her Grandfather was one of the porters carrying Dr David Livingstone's body from Chitambo village to the coast for transport to a hero's burial in London, UK.

Ba Grace's book is a unique insight on the other side of the colonial coin, the real lives of Livingstone's companions and their descendants. The book sings with life and humour.

We will be making coppies available for sale on our Friends of Chitambo stall at the Storehouse, Penicuik, Midlothian, Scotland: The STOREHOUSE
