Welcome to our New Members and Trustee!

Friends of Chitambo is delighted to welcome four wonderful new members, including one new Trustee/Board Member, and three new General Members.
Trustee/Board Member: Mr. Francis Zombe, Theatre Nurse/Ambulance Controller at Chitambo Hospital, joins the Zambian end of our Board. He has been contributing for some time as a member of our Scottish Government Small Grant Project Steering Group, and forwards monthly ambulance callout and emergency radio usage data. Mr. Zombe is already proving invaluable as our voice on the ground at Chitambo.
General Members, Zambia: Mrs Hauwa Akhilome is a trained and experienced Pharmacist. She is Nigerian by origin but married to a Zambia gentleman and lives in Lusaka.
General Members, Europe: Dr. Doris Arnold is a Nurse Lecturer based in Frankfurt, Germany, with extensive experience of training nurses and midwives at university level.
Heather N is a retired Psychiatric Nurse, based in Penicuik, Scotland. She grew up in Angola, in South West Africa, and attended school in North West Zambia. She is a talented needle woman and knitter and has already contributed extensively to our Christmas fundraising through sale of her beautiful toy dinosaurs and patchwork mats.
A very warm welcome to all four new members! You bring a rich skill mix to our existing pool.
