Two-week Eye Camp in Chitambo Underway

Wonderful collaboration. Freinds of Chitambo's 'big sister' organisation, Vision Aid Overseas (VAO), is heading to Chitambo District next week to deliver a two-week eye camp in the area. Penicuik Optomotrist, Mrs Laura Bennett (pictured on the right, with FOCH Chair, Dr. Jo Vallis) is very kindly carrying a consignment of emergency care textbooks for FoCH. These are part of an emergency care communications project sponsored by the Scottish Government. They will help American emergency care specialist, Dr. Morgan Broccoli, with the delivery of in-hospital trauma training for hospital staff, in September later this year.
Wishing Laura and the VAO team a very good journey and successful trip! May many Chitambo community members benefit from this great opportunity to have their eyes tested and obtain affordable spectacles as necessary.
