Fundraising Seminar: Doctor Naomi Haynes discusses Religion and Politics in Zambia
25th Nov 2019
Thank you to Dr. Naomi Haynes, Social Anthropologist, University of Edinburgh, for presenting such a fascinating talk on religion and politics in Zambia at our fundraising seminar in central Edinburgh on Friday 22nd November 2019. Thank you also to our Trustee/Secretary Ms Mudenda Munkombwe, for Chairing the meeting so skillfully; and to University of Edinburgh students, Josephine & Geofrey, for the lovely, live Zambian music. Also much appreciation to everyone for coming and supporting our cause, including our Charity Patron, Julie Davidson, author of 'Looking for Mrs Livingstone'. It was great to see you and Catherine there, Julie.
We had some lovely feedback on the fundraising talk from an audience member:
"Brilliant event Friends of Chitambo Team, I gained insight of topic from a different perspective that I had not considered before. Also gained new knowledge and understanding of the topic. Well done team for organising this interesting event!"
Thank you to Ba Agnes, Friends of Chitambo Member, for forwarding this small tribute and the attached photos. We are most grateful.
You have all made a difference to supporting health projects at Chitambo, Central Zambia!
