NHS Global Health Citizenship Conference
25th Nov 2019
From the Lusaka Stadium, on the 55th Anniversary of Zambian Independence (24th October 2019) to the Murrayfield Rugby Stadium, Edinburgh, Scotland (the day before the World Cup Final) for the 2nd NHS Global Health Citizenship conference on the 1st November 2019!
Wonderful to see over 200 Scottish NHS delegates to this conference, all sharing a passion for Global Health. Friends of Chitambo Trustees Dr Jo Vallis and Dr Bridget Innes presented our poster and stall and met good new contacts and old friends, including Dr Lalick Banda, Medical Superintendent of St Francis Hospital, Katete, Eastern Zambia. Dr. Banda is part of The Logie Legacy, an exemplary hospital twinning between Borders General Hospital, Scotland, and St. Francis Hospital, Katete, Zambia.

Friends of Chitambo Trustees Jo Vallis and Heather Emond travelled on the same flight as Dr. Banda, from Lusaka to Dubai. A chance conversation revealed that he was travelling for the same conference.
