Mission Accomplished: PPE Delivery Arrives at Chitambo!

Mission accomplished!
Our Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) contribution has arrived at Chitambo. Here is a thanks from the hospital team:
Good morning. Everyone is very happy and thankful here. Every big thank you from all of us from Chitambo.
Thank you to them for the lovely photos, too! The cotton facemasks are by Pharren's Cutting and Design, Lusaka.
The PPE contribution was dispatched to Chitambo on the 17th of May, 2020. The Hospital Executive Officer collected it from Lusaka in person and apparently the vehicle was loaded to capacity.
Thank you to our CORRA Foundation grant funders for enabling this donation from our remaining grant underspend, and to our whole project team for successfully coordinating the operation. Particular thanks to our In-country Project Manager, Mr Consider Mudenda, who worked tirelessly to secure the order from Equicare in Lusaka, and liaised with Chitambo colleagues to ensure safe delivery to the hospital. Thank you, Consider! There could not be a more capable and reliable project manager anywhere.
Hopefully, this small contribution will help Chitambo hospital staff and the wider community to protect themselves from the virus. The threat is real with rising numbers of cases around the Tanzanian border, and along the Great North Road running past Chitambo.
